A/C season is upon us. Living in Florida is a very demanding place on your cars air conditioning system. The temperature on the dash of a car, in the sun, can reach 160 degrees. The infrared radiation heats the air upwards of 120 degrees. The evaporator is the component which has the job of removing this heat from the passenger compartment. The heat is transferred to the outside by way of the refrigerant. The compressor then takes the refrigerant with its absorbed heat and compresses the gas into the condenser. The cooling fan has the job of moving the heat from the condenser into the ambient air outside. The refrigerant now leaves the condenser as a liquid through the high pressure line and heads back to the evaporator to continue its job. A proper repair to your Volvos air conditioning system means understanding exactly how it is supposed to work. Voltech’s experts have the knowledge to keep your car cool and running well for many years to come.
